Autoclave - treated class 4 pine slats are guaranteed for 10 years against rot and wood - eating insect attacks ,
under normal use as fence or side gate inf ill . This guarantee is valid provided that : installation complies with
professional standards ( adequate ventilation , no permanent contact with the ground or standing water ) ;
regular maintenance is carried out ( annual cleaning , application of a UV - protective saturator or stain to
preserve appearance ) ; storage conditions are respected before installation ( dry , f lat , ventilated storage ) .
Excluded from the legal guarantee : warping and / or cracking due to the natural movement of wood colour
variations or marks caused by UV exposure and / or weather ; mechanical damage ( impacts , drops , improper
f ixings ) ; aesthetic alterations caused by lack of maintenance . All cut or machined slats must be preserved
with an appropriate protective product . The guarantee only covers replacement of defective slats and does not
include removal or reinstallation labour .
NOTE : Replacing an element does not extend the original guarantee period .
PROTECT + OPTION
For polyester - coated products installed
in C4 ( high ) , C5 ( very high ) and CX ( extreme ) environments ,
the Protect + option provides a 5 - or 10 - year anti - corrosion
guarantee depending on the product and category .
• The POLYESTER f inish offers outstanding resistance to UV and adverse
weather conditions and provides a very attractive gloss f inish .
• Relevant environments according to standard ISO 12944 - 2 : C1 ( very low ) ,
C2 ( low ) , C3 ( medium ) .
• Products installed in C4 ( high ) , C5 ( very high ) and CX ( extreme )
environments are not covered .
